Adult Leadership is the flagship program, and the most extensive for adults, offering in-depth classes over an eight-month period. Each session is a full day of training. You are allowed to miss only two sessions and still be able to graduate with your classmates. For one day a month, participants learn about a different aspect of the community, meeting and learning from state and local leaders, touring local businesses and visiting governmental offices and educational institutions. The class will work together during the year to complete one or more service projects, which often have a lasting impact on the community. Nominations are accepted for the class at the beginning of each year.
The cost to attend Adult Leadership Roane County is $550 per person (cost is subject to change). This fee covers all session costs and materials. The next class will begin in August 2024. If you are interested in being considered for the class, please click the apply button at the top of this page. Once we receive your application, we will add you to the list of nominees for the next class. Nominee packets will be mailed out to each person by the end of April 2024. No money is due at the time of your request and will only be requested if you are chosen for the class.
